You see that image right there? See that device? It could be that HTC Smartwatch we’ve been waiting for! Ever since HTC announced they’d be releasing a Smartwatch in 2015, but then delayed all manufacturing of it, we haven’t seen or heard anything of it, expect of course the UA Band but that doesn’t count. Check this out! So these images surfaced on Weibo, and look very promising. HTC in the past has already built a strong relationship with Under Armour, assisting them with creating the UA Band. Now it looks like HTC and Under Armour want to kick it up a notch. Taking a look at the images, this HTC watch looks like the Moto 360 Sport, which isn’t bad. There are Pogo pins on the back for the charger, which is a bit disappointing since wireless charging exists.
In one of the images, you can see that the device has Android Wear 1.3 on there, which isn’t the latest version on Android, which might lead this to being a prototype device. Hopefully HTC knows to offer their watch on 2.0 to not immediately make the device obsolete at release! Oh and hopefully they opt for wireless charging instead of Pogo charging.
What do you think? Will you be getting this HTC Smartwatch? Leave your comments below!
